Getting things ready...First day at the Arena de Ciudad. Time to set up our pit, meet our neighbours and get ready for the robot inspection. We've got to give the motors to REV and get new ones to get things going. Oh, it's gonna be great!!! The main hall looks amazing! Wonder how the opening ceremony will be tomorrow! Something spectacular we guess...

Free day to discover Mexico CityTuesday is our day off and we decided to taste a bit of Mexico City. Staying right across the Angel of Independence Statue (El Angel de la Independencia) we thought it would be a nice start. We then visited the Chapultepec Park and the National Museum of Anthropology teaming up with team Andorra. And in the afternoon we had a meeting with Father Damianos Dimitris, discussing about life in Mexico, rich and poor, the Church and how Robotics might help the young. Last practice, problems never seize...Last day of practice. 5 long hours and then we have to do the packing. Some problems came up, but hopefully we will have the time to replace the motors in Mexico! Ok, that's a wrap!!! Good luck and a piece of useful adviceFGC team Greece is supported by eduACT (FLL Greece national partner) and Mathisis.org (FLL Athens local partner). Today the rest of team Mathisis came to meet the team, watch the training, talk to the kids, give them some useful advice (mostly to have the time of their lives and not to care about qualifications and game results) and bid them farewell! Thank you Antonis, Greta and Makis!!!
Everything in placeWell, today Dimitris had a surprise in store for us. We were expecting him by 18.00, but he texted me he would be late. Nobody could ever think of why he was going to be late. Only when we heard the car horn and his voice telling us to come out and give a hand, we realized that the last three days of practice would be different...
Our 2nd & final move...Phase#3, final week of practice and a final move. We have left Illioupoli behind and moved to 2nd Primary School of Kalyvia. We are setting up the training field, making our last modifications to GRoot_bot and we are ready to go!!! Apostolos is still in Xanthi, but he will be with us on Friday. Many thank yous to Mathisis Team Member Mr Avraam Triantafyllidis and, also, to the school Principal for letting us use the school building for our practice! GRoot_bot photo session! Our little star wanted to shoot some "professional" pictures... What a show-off he is... but can anyone say no?
Get your badge! We are printing a few badges. They will be available at our pit. You are welcome to come over, meet us and get yours!
