Team Greece has officially completed three aspects of this year's FIRST Global Challenge "Discover and Recover"!
-Solutions Challenge: Brainstorming and researching about the impact of COVID-19, designing and programming "Panacea" , collaborating with Team Canada... The Solutions Challenge was undoubtedly really interesting and fun! -Robotics Challenge: Although we have experience using the REV robotics kit to build robots, this year we improved our previous ideas and we experimented with new designs! Building the four mechanisms required; drivetrain delivery, intake intrigue, launcher longshot, climber chaos helped us expand our knowledge in robotics and programming! -CubeSat Challenge: Creating a CubeSat prototype from scratch was not something any of us had done before. After researching and working hard, we managed to build a working CubeSat that could be launched in the lowest layers of Earth's atmosphere and examine how suitable is the area for reforestation! Overall, the FIRST Global Challenge “Discover and Recover” was a great experience! Social media challenges gave us the opportunity to meet other teams, connect with people from all over the world! The STEM talks were informative and interesting! We learned how to overcome difficulties as a team! We communicated with teams on the FIRST Global Forum and social media! We used STEM to build a better tomorrow! We really enjoyed this year’s FGC! One more social media challenge to go! We can’t wait to see everyone next year!

We deployed our CubeSat into the lowest layers of Earth's atmosphere! Mission Dryad takes measurements of the temperature, the humidity, the altitude as well as the Ultraviolet radiation, in order to determine the suitability of reforestation in the burnt area being examined. Team Greece aspires to develop this mission, so that it can detect and therefore prevent wildfires from spreading.
Team Greece participated in the Thessaloniki International Fair, in the stand of the Ministry of Health! Υπουργείο Υγείας Thessaloniki International Fair TIF is an exhibition event, taking place in Thessaloniki Greece every year. One of the aims of this year's event was to bring citizens closer to new digital services and technologies ! We had the pleasure to present our project prototype “Panacea”, the robot representing Greece in this year’s FIRST Global Challenge “Discover and Recover’ to many Government officials and other institutions, such as -the Minister of Health Mr. Plevris Θάνος Πλεύρης -the Minister of Education and Religious Affairs Ms. Kerameus Niki Kerameus -the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Dendias Νίκος Δένδιας -the Minister of Interior Mr. Voridis Μάκης Βορίδης -the Minister of Tourism Mr. Kikilias Vassilis Kikilias -the Regional Governor of Attica Mr. Patoulis Giorgos Patoulis -the General Director of the Research and Innovation Center “Athena” Mr. Yannis Emiris -the General Director of Titan Cement Groups in Thessaloniki Mr. Konstantinos Nikolaou We saw many innovative projects, discussed with experts from all over Greece, and got inspired to work harder! Yesterday we attended the EKO Acropolis Rally 2021! Team Greece was chosen to present at the booths placed at the Athens Olympic Velodrome, alongside other organizations of Educational Robotics! We also had the honor of presenting our project to the Deputy Minister of Culture and Sports, Mr. Lefteris Avgenakis!
